Phatsar
The gearbox and the old engine block, head was previously removed.
Empty engine bay with all the wires, hoses and etc. Should have resprayed the bay but still unsure of what colour to use.
Here is the interior fully stripped. Nothing in there except the seatbelts and steering wheel. Plans for a retrim but for the time being it will be replaced with the stock black interior.
The new engine has arrived, time to unrap and bolting parts on.
All parts are on except for the intake and exhaust manifolds as well as the gearbox, this is almost ready to drop in.
Engine and gearbox in. Now it's time to connect all the wires, hoses, axles, and exhaust manifold.
Everything is together, ready for startup. Took a few cranks and some adjusting but she started. After setting timing, it idles smooth.
Performance and suspension upgrade. Pod air and breather filtres were added for a few extra horsepower and a strut bar from a Nissan NX was added for more stability. It was hard to notice the difference since the struts are shot. KYB struts will take place.
Style has started taking control on the exterior of the Pulsar. New clear front and rear-side lenses replace the old ones. Managed to find factory SE model foglights. The housings were rusted out so I put aftermarket fogs with hyper white bulbs in its place. Looks almost fully stock.
Interior is finished. This is only temperary until I get around to touching up the looks and colour. Also the factory stereo is in and aftermarket speakers front and rear.
Let me give you a little update about Phatsar. My friend had the car for sale for some time now, running on the rough side and unfortunately was attacked by an unknown person...shooting up the driverside of the car blowing out all driverside windows and ruining the body. A local friend of mine bought the car and during the travel time, rain had gotten beyond the tape and plastic on the windows, wetting the interior. Wet interior parts were ripped out and partually replaced with blue. A year went by with not much done to it so I offered to buy Phatsar. In my possession, I urged myself to repair the engine. With the head off I could see the pistons were slamming the head. Intentionally I wanted to replace the main and crank bearings and the head itself. Finding a head for a low amount of money was difficult so I opted for an engine replacement.
