Woozle, the mascot for the ranger section was created in 1982 from the doodlings of Jenny Anderson, an Auckland leader.

Some special characteristics

Macwoozlefum zealandii is a founding member of Fuzzy Feelings incorporated.

She can easily be identified by two habits that set her apart from others of her genus, a weakness for eating buns in sleeping bags and singing opera in the bath.
