" You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great"
Born on the west coast of Africa, in a country once known as the Gold Coast because of its riches in natural resources (gold), Ghana is where I come from. One day in September, I was born to Dr. and Mrs. Amoako. Growing up in a mid-rural area was not much of a challenge as I might find it today because that is what I was born into. With my parents understanding the meaning of education, they did not hesistate in enrolling me into school. The turn of life for me came when I had to go to a private school which opened the gate for my success. This was in the early nineties when I moved to the capital of the country, Accra. My first school in the capital opened my mind to accept the way of living in a city with many people as compared to where I had lived earlier where everybody knew his or her neighbor. It didn't take me long to transfer to an even better school where I completed Junior High. I met a lot of different people, both good and bad, and chose carefully. With a good grade from eigth grade, I had the greatest opportunity to go to one of the best all boys High Schools in the country. Without much stay at the school, I had to leave to join my parents in the United States. Livng in the US was a little challenging since I spoke the British form of English, but as time passed I adapted to the American form. So far life has been good and all that I want to attain at this stage of my life has been earned. I hope to go to medical school and become a physician in the near future. And with my most favorite quote which happens to be a school's motto, I CAN MAKE IT!!!. It's "Omnia Vincit Labor". Which literally translates to " Perseverance Conquers all".
