Puck Bowl IV Matchup Set
 | VS | |
[12.17.02] The Puck Bowl is set with Rhode Island and Rocko battling it out for the right to raise the Bribin Cup. Rhode Island came off a monster game destroying Wisconsin 129-78 to earn their first trip to the Puck Bowl. Wisconsin took a serious blow with key injuries to both Priest Holmes and Stephen Davis during this week. Even if those two would have been healthy, it would have been very difficult to get past the Ridicule who got great contributions from all of their players. In the other matchup and probably one of the biggest upsets in league history, Rocko beat Kalamazoo on a quarterback controversy. Kalamazoo, totally uncertain which quarterback to play in the playoffs wrongly finalized on Bulger which ended up costing the Vikings the game. Rocko owner Willa has been seen as totally excited about making the Puck Bowl.
Puck Bowl Four the Ridicule
[12.22.02] The amazing fourth season of Puck's World Fantasy Football is finally in the books and there is a new champion to lead the league into 2003. The Rhode Island Ridicule captured their first Bribin Cup when they beat the Rocko Bengals 108-95 in Puck Bowl IV. The Ridicule was led by big games from their Eagles defense and with an offense led by Payton Manning. Rocko tried to mount a late come from behind victory late Sunday night, but A. Smith was not able to overcome the 18 point lead Rhode Island had mustered. Rhode Island owner Libzie becomes the first woman to capture the Bribin Cup and also the third person to win the title in the four year history of the league.
Americans win All-Star Game
[12.31.02] The Americans were able to come out of week 17 as the winners of the 2002 All-Star Game for first time in history. The Nationals had defeated the Americans in the previous two meetings (1999 and 2000) between these two conferences. Last year, the teams were divided differently so the Nationals and Americans did not match up. The 2002 All-Star game was the first one played live on week 17. All previous games were scored on participating player's average score for the season. The National Team consisted of the best players from Seattle, Wisconsin, England, Detroit, Baltimore, and W. Palm Beach. The Americans included Rhode Island, Timbuktu, Benton Harbor, Kalamazoo, Rocko, and Green Bay. For those curious, if this was not a live game, the outcome would have been the same, but a 142-141 victory for the Americans.
