Welcome back! 2002 saw four new teams enter the league and snatched up what was left from the existing eight teams, changing the whole dynamic of the league. Here are the awards based on the 2002 draft. Lemon Award The Lemon Award goes to the player that showed such promise as to make a team use a high draft pick on them, only to be unable to perform for them. The Nominees are: DeShaun Foster (RB-WPB) #8, David Terrell (WR-Bal) #14, and Olandis Gary (RB-WPB) #12. Golden Comb Award The Golden Comb Award is for the best value pick in the draft. This player was picked up late in the draft and performed better than expected for their team. The Nominees are: Jamel White (RB-GB), Saints (Def-Kal), and Colts (Def-WPB) Bud Grant Award The last award going out tonight is given to the team with the best draft. This team drafted smart and took players that were able to help their team out during this season. The Nominees for the best draft of 2002 are: Detroit, Rhode Island, Rocko, and Wisconsin That's it everyone! I hope you enjoyed this awards show. I would like to thank everyone for making this season the best we've ever had! |
