Seattle Slimy Slugs

(THE EVERGLADES, FL) Despite racking up the most points in the PWFFL in 2002, the Seattle Slimy Slugs failed to make the playoffs after posting the teams second Puck Bowl win in three years the year before. In Seattle, where expectations are always high, this team is feeling the heatliterally.

Deep in the jungles of the Everglades, the Slugs have been hitting the weights and running the sledshalf the time in full padssince day one. The teams studs LaDanian Tomlinson, Marvin Harrison, and Marshall Faulk are all performing in top shape, but the shadow that hung over Seattle last year still hasnt gone away: no leader.

Whoever is called on to lead the Slimy Slugs offense will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. True to form, Seattle owner Jabin has been very aggressive in the offseason, acquiring QB Brian Griese from Wisconsin for RB Curtis Martin, giving up RB Anthony Thomas for WR Travis Taylor, and gone to Kalamazoo is WR Randy Moss in exchange for RB Eddie George. Castoff DeShaun Foster was also added to the Slugs stable of runningbacks in the offseason.

In a move that surprised many fantasy experts, Jabin cut Griese from the team, leaving Brad Johnson as the Slugs only potential first-string quarterback leading up to draft day. The former University of Michigan standouts absence from camp may only be temporary, though, if Jabin decides to re-draft Griese for the 2003 season. The Slugs first pick in the draft comes at #29, and its likely that Jabin will gamble on a field general with that first selection.

If he doesntit may be a gamble to say the Slugs will return to playoff glory once again.
