England Teasers
The teams first overall pick, RB Deuce McCallister, did not disappoint and is expected to once again be the Teasers leader this season. QB Tom Brady, TE Jeremy Shockey, RB T.J. Duckett, and K David Akers all proved that they can contribute in big ways. Veterans Jerry Rice and Steve McNair round out a potent England lineup that can really put some points on the board very quickly.
The fact that England is the only PWFFL team not located in the United States has already turned them into a foe of sorts for many teams located on the homeland. The Detroit Drive, in particular, have already put themselves in the Teasers sights after going 0-2 last year against their arch-rivals. Both teams ended up putting up 5-9 records and the debate continues over which team built the best foundation last year.
Regardless of how skilled the Teasers are, theyre sure to have tough bodies heading into the season. The team has been put on a strict diet of haggis and kidney pie, and while a few of the players werent able to hold it down at first, the regiment has thickened their stomachs for a year of long road trips and unfamiliar cuisine.
England may be in the best position of any team in the PWFFL this year. Despite finishing 5-9, the Teasers find themselves back in the leagues bottom division this year, which makes for an easy schedule and big wins. It will, however, take some victories in the hotly-contested matchups spawned last yearif the team 3000 miles away hopes to call the Puck Bowl home in 2003.
