International finance powerhouse SooBank announces an Initital Public Offering (IPO) of shares for the Yoopers Fantasy Sports Group, a holding company for fantasy sports franchises operating in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The stock will be available through the Upper Great Lakes Board of Exchange under the ticker, UPDOP (pronounced, "Yoo-pee-doo-pee"). SooBank has set the initial share price at $5, "a real bargain," says SooBank spokesman, Ira Shapiro. "We felt the inital positioning of this stock should be pegged to the unit price of the locally preferred beverage."

The Yoopers Group also announces the formation of the Northern Michigan Yoopers, a franchise of the PWFFL. The team's offices will be in Ishpiming, Michigan, but the team will play its home games in various cities of the UP, including: Escanaba, Houghton, Ironwood, Ishpeming, Marquette, and Sault Sainte Marie.

The Yoopers Group also announced Pekka Jokinnen as the first General Managers of the Northern Michigan Yoopers.
