Smile Forever
January 10, 2001
I think about you all the time,
The edges of my mouth, on my face climb,
In the morning and night and all in between,
I smile thinking of you, my sweet Melene.
The kindness and caring that both of us share,
Seems to me to make us a very good pair.
I love you now, and I will forever,
To make this line rhyme, I had to be clever.
Whether we just stay friends, or fall in love,
When I need a smile, you're the one I'll think of.
As I write this poem, I'm smiling now,
When I think of us, I have to say, "WOW !!"
It's all so amazing, how we began to know each other,
Not through a friend or cousin or sister or brother,
But by doing what we love, and letting it lead us to more,
I'm glad that on that day, you were working past four.
I believe we're finally being rewarded, for who we are,
Because it drew us to each other, like a lucky star.
I hope that our differences don't keep us apart,
Because that would be sad, and it would break my heart.
I hope that the joy, I feel because of you,
Can be felt by you, in whatever you do.
I will smile forever, because of you Melene,
