NOTE:-
This paper consist of Three Sections. Section A is compulsory. Do any Four questions from
                 Section B and any two questions from Section C

1(a) What are the various types of filters? Mention briefly.
(b) Explain, what is design impedence of filters.
(c) Draw the circuit of a constant k low pass filter.
(d) Write the design equations of a constant k type high pass filters.
(e) Explain the functioin of an attenuator.
(f) Explain the terms cut set and cut set matrix.
(g) Explain with the help of a simple example the terms free of a network graph and tree branch.
(h) Examine whether the functioin z(s) = s +2 / s2 + 5 is positive real or not?
(i) Test the polynomial q(s) = s2 + 5s + 9, if it is Hurwitz.
(j) State the essential elements of realizability.

2. Explain in detail the basic loop incidence matrix.
3. Explain the circuit of a simple band elimination filter.
4. Design a constant k high pass π section filter having cut off frequency fc = 8 kHz and nominal characteristics
    impedence Ro = 500 ω?
5. Examine and state with resons whethewr z(s) = 2(s2 + 1)(s2 + 9)/s(s2 + 4) is an L-C impedence functions.
6. State the properties of opsitive real functions.

7. Compare the attenuation frequency characteristics for m-derived filters (low pass and high pass) for different
    values of m.
8. Using graph theory find the currents through and voltages across all branches of the network shown below:
            
9. The driving point impedence of a one port network is given as z(s) = 2s5 + 12s3 + 16s/s4 + 4s2 + 3. Find the first
    Foster form of the equilent network.
