My name is Patrik Torin
I am the oldest son of the photographer Göran N.K.Torin
My parents and grandparents and grand-grandparents were all photographers, so that was a occupation I didn't wanted.
My mother is working on VÅRGÅRDA ARMATUR AB with customers relations.
On my mothers side, my grandmother Ellen Bengtsson was employed on Hammargrens Pyrotekniska AB were they make firecrackers and reload hand grenades, she was lucky to be sick and at home the day the plant exploded and was totally destroyed. Allan Bengtsson my grandfather was famous in there home area Onsala as "Post-Allan" were he worked as postman for many years. Before that job he was a lighthouse keeper on Nidingens Lighthouse on the westcoast of Sweden, south of Gothenburg. On a Christmas holiday when he was headed for his home port the engine in his vessel stopped and he was drifting for several days in the winter sea, with his last rescue flare a ship spotted him and brought him to his rescue. His location was at this time on the north coast of Denmark on his way out in the Atlantic sea.
I have been working as:
Workshop worker, Plastic worker, Process painter, and Paint & Chemical worker.
Car repairs and Computer Montage.
The best things I have done!
Together with a friend of mine I made a journey in the iron curtain countries, in the time before the fall of the communism. We made about 8 boarder passes with a car we did not have the right number plates on, and with out any visa for the last 5-days. We rented a house by a lake in Poland without any permit to do so, and for neighbors we had a army corneal and the local chief of the police.
My trip to Thailand during the Gulfwar was a highlight in my life as well, Thai people are the friendliest on this planet and they have a wonderful country with views and food beyond my imagination. During this time the war was a disaster for those who live on tourism in Thailand.
Another trip was to Scotland with a old car I bought very cheap, to travel without any planning is something I strongly recommend , a golden place is the small city of Ullapool in the NW coast of Scotland along with the Glenfiddish whisky distillery in the SW.
My computer and internet investments are also a highlight in my life.
But the best thing that has happen to me is my lovely children who gives me moments no money can buy..

Some events in there life have made me wonder about children's right and parents behavior .
When Louise was just a baby she get a attack of cramps and stopped breathing, she had to get mouth to mouth breathing support and transport by ambulance to the hospital in the middle of the night. After that incident I have a different perspective on life, and children's need in our modern society.
