Brutal Dog Killings in Detroit
Cases
(The web page has been established by the person who wrote the following.)
In hopes of proctecting pets in the Detroit metropolitan area and catching the responsible person(s), I am posting this web page.  An individual or individuals is sadistically killing dogs in our area. The dogs have been found skinned, one of them was apparently skinned alive.  Below is a letter sent to me explaining what has happened:

Unhappy Endings
We at the Michigan Humane  Society are greatly saddened by these two
horrible recent acts of  cruelty. Necropsies have been performed on both canine victims in the hopes  of bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice. I am
attaching the press release  regarding the first case, to give you something
to post.

In  yesterday's case in Northville, the dog was a female, young - approx.
year old, and again may have been a shepherd mix. This dog was not
decapitated, but a bullet wound was found.

You may contact  our Cruelty Investigation Dept. at 313-872-3401 if you
need further  information.

We appreciate your help in seeking more information that could help us in
these cases. Please be sure to note that the Michigan  Humane Society is
offering a $1,000 reward (see release) and reference the  Cruelty Dept.
above.

BRUTAL ACT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY DISCOVERED IN GARDEN  CITY
Guestbook
(Westland)-Michigan Humane Society is offering a reward to anyone with
information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the  individual or
people responsible for an appalling act of animal cruelty.  Friday morning,
Garden City police found the mutilated, be-headed body of a  young dog in a
dumpster on Block Street. The animal had been skinned and it  appears that
it was skinned alive. Officer Harris of the Garden City Police  Department
brought the dog to the Michigan Humane Society Westland Shelter.

According to Dr. Roxy Corse, Michigan Humane Society Veterinarian, the animal  was a young, male dog. "There was evidence of blunt force trauma to the  abdomen, the genitals had been removed, and the tendons on all four legs had  been severed," she stated. Based on her examination this happened as recently as last night or early this morning.

If you have any information about this malicious act, please call the
Garden City Police Department at  734-525-8088 or the Michigan Humane
Society Cruelty Hotline at  313-872-3401.

The Michigan Humane Society is a private, nonprofit  organization dedicated
to serving the animals since 1877.
