1/6/00
Today my group and I picked out our cat. David and Brian went through all the cats untill they found one they lik. After arguing over the name we dicided to call her Gertrude.
1/7/00
I am nervous today becasue I don't know how I will react to the dead cat Gertrude. Today we took Gertrude out of the bag and drained the preservatives that she was packed in. After that we cut the skin with dissecting scissors on its back from its neck to its tail. Then we peeled the skin away from its body
1/11/00
Today we finished skinning the dead cat. David took pictures for his website he is making. [Editors note, that would be this.] WE managed to take the skin off in one piece for extra credit without cut the muscles badly.
1/12/00
We didn't do much today. Mrs. Tooley check us off for skinning the cat after Molly chased her down. The only dissection we did was skinning the tail. Also David put the cat back into the bag without gloves. After listening to David's comments and blending noises we forbade him from speaking.
1/13/00
Today we started outlinning the back muscles and surprisingly Molly actually touched the cat. For some deranged reason David only used one glove and also touched the skinned cat with his bare hand, disgusting the rest of us.
1/14/00
WE continued on the carving out of the back muscles. Molly and David did most of the carving today. WE waited most of the period to present the back muscles to Mrs. Tooley, but decided to present them on Wednesday the 19th.
Day Seven 1-19-00
Today we did not accomplish much. My group and I continued on dissecting the back muscles and we practiced presenting so we would be good tomarrow.
Day Eight 1-20-00
Today our group dissected and presented the back muscles of the cat. After several tries presenting the back muscles to Mrs. Tooley we finally got a perfect score. Today we characterized David as being extremly weird. [Editors note: I am so proud]
Day Nine 1-21-00
Today David and Alana dissected and presented the rhomboidal muscles and recieved another perfect score. They both did a great and thorough job.
Day Ten 1-25-00
Today David, Alana and I did all of the arm muscles. This was easy for us because the muscles on our cat were so defined, excpet for where the cat got hit.
Day Elevin 1-26-00
Today we started the thigh muscles. David did not like the muscles for one of his strange reasons. We started by dissecting the leg that was opposit to the leg in the diagram. This was confusing.
Day Twelve 1-27-00
Our group finished the thigh and presented it today. After presenting we didn't do too much, except for molly who worked on our packets.
Day Thirteen 1-28-00
WE didn't do much today. Molly and I started with the packetsand then the rest of the group started doing the packets. This took all of the period.
Day Fourteen 2-1-00
Today we spent most of theday soaking in what we did and what we needed to do.
Day Fifteen 2-2-00
We started on the leg. our group thinks we won't have any problem with the lower leg.
Day Sixteen 2-3-00
Today Alana and David worked on the leg, or so I hear because I was absent.
Day Seventeen.2-4-00
Today we worked outside. David presented the lower leg. He thought it was incrediblly easy. WE didn't have enough time to present the upper leg.
Day Eighteen 2-9-00
This group made me dissect today. I had to, the most disgusting job in my entire life, pull out the intestines. WE made cuts into the small intestines to view the villi. We ripped out the whole thing. Most of us were nauseous by what the large intestines held, but what can you expect. David made a horrible observation that it could be squeezed out like a toothpaste tube. Today i realized David is not normal.

Today we cleaned the cat's body cavity and presented the intestines to Mrs. Tooley. on a side note Molly thought Molly thought the smell and juices were so disgusting.

Today I opened the stomach. I also removed all of the intestines. When I opened the stomach there were remains of a cockroach. Molly refused to touch it.
2-17-00
Today David and I started on the heart and lungs. We cut up the ribs to remove the heart, lungs and trachea. Near the end of the period David and I finally said we would wait untill tomarrow to get the organs out.
2-18-00
Today we finally got the heart , lungs, and trachea all in one part. The heart and lungs did look different than what I expected.
2-23-00
Today we over the sections of the heart and practice presenting to Mrs. Tooley. The rest of the period was spent waiting for Mrs. Tooly, she never showed up.
2-24-00
Today our group worked on the urinary system. After going over it for presenting we waited for Mrs. Tooley who never came. David did a disgusting thing. He squeezed the large intestines and crap came out. Thiss smelled so bad. molly complained the most.
