Proof of Courage is the 4-Star Dragon Ball!!
Years after the death of the original Gokou, his great grandson is being trained by his grandmother Pan. This Gokou Junior, has the power of the Sayins to transform, but lacks the motivation to do so. Something that is very evident in his life as he is easily bullied. Sadly, Pan in her old age falls ill and is put into the hospital. Desperate to save his loved grandmother, Gokou Junior begins a journey to get to Grandfather Gohan's pagoda in the mountain to retrieve the four star dragonball. His goal is to make a wish that will save Pan's life.
He starts out and is soon joined by one of his "companions" from school. Together the two boys encounter incredible monsters that stand in their way. Gokou's friend soon falls prey to an accident and is lost from the journey. Gokou continues on but soon finds himself in a battle with yet another monster. Fed up with the loss of his friend and the possible death of his grandmother, he blows up in a rage and turns into a Super Sayin for the first time in his entire life. He devastates his enemy and continues on his way.
Eventually Gokou Jr reaches the now falling apart pagoda. He tries to make the wish, but is unaware that all 7 balls are needed for it to work. Out of nowhere he sees the original Gokou talking to him. He explains the dragonballs and comments on Gokou Jr's strength. Then, in the distance a helicopter is heard. It's Grandma Pan and she has come after Gokou Junior to let him know she is still alive. Gokou Junior is confused and happy all at the same time, was what he just saw real? |
