tips on drinking
Use a measuring cup to test the amounts that your drinking glasses hold. Many hold 16 oz., which means you only have to drink 4 of them to get you daily requirement of water! (daily requirement = 8 8 oz. glasses)

Juice, decaffeinated tea, soda, and most other non-caffeinated beverages count as "water". Caffeine, however, is a diuretic, so you'll need to drink an extra 8 oz. glass of water to counteract it. Don't forget to watch the calories and fat in your beverages!

If you find it hard to drink enough water, try using a straw. It makes it easier to drink it quicker.

Some people have better success getting their water in if they fill a plastic container with their daily amount and then just drink until its empty, filling glasses from it throughout the day.

If you dont like plain water, try a slice of lemon or lime in it, or have seltzer or soda water instead.

Instead of soda, try this: soda water or seltzer and fruit juice.  You get the fizziness of soda, with the added bonus of the cup of fruit juice, which is one serving of fruit!

If the idea of upping your water intake is daunting, dont worry -- your stomach and bladder will get used to it. You can slowly increase your daily intake until youre at the goal amount.  By then, it should be easier to become a habit.

Once you make it a daily habit to get a minimum of 64 oz of water each day, on days you are unable to do so, you may find yourself very dry-mouthed and thirsty.  Congratulations it means your body is letting you know it likes all that water and is craving it.

Yes drinking more WILL make you pee more.  Its okay get over it. :0)  Our society has placed an odd guilt feeling of it being wrong to go to the bathroom too much.  Going to the bathroom more often from your increased water intake will make your kidneys and other organs much happier anyway.  If it still bothers you, try to envision mineral buildups, waste and fat flushing out with each er.flush.
