F.A.Q.
We personally believe in Christ as our Savior. Although our martial art is a Japanese form of martial arts, we do not teach religion at our dojo. Our students do "bow" when entering and leaving the dojo, they also "bow" to the Sensei (teacher) and to the dojo itself. Bowing is not a sign of "bowing" to any gods, it is a sign of respect in the Japanese culture. We also meditate at the beginning and end of each class. Meditation is whatever the student is comfortable with. He/she can meditate in a silent atmosphere to calm oneself before beginning and ending each class, or meditate/pray to their lord for encouragement and enlightenment before and after each class.... We believe this is a personal choice.
Yes, Anyone who can engage in regular physical sports can learn karate. There are no age limitations; however, it is recommended that children be at least 7 years of age.
Self Discipline. We stress discipline, respect, courtesy, proper spirit and non-violence. Once these factors are instilled in our students, it becomes an easy chore to develop stamina, coordination, karate technique and self confidence.
One can learn a great deal in one day. There is no limit in learning the mastery of karate techniques. The more you practice, the more you will improve, and each day you will be better than the one who had never started. Initially, a karate student is taught the most basic and then later introduced to more advanced techniques.
