It is unknow whether this are a result of mutation or dyed. Powers: Primary Powers: Rogue possesses the ability to absorb life-force, memories, talent and, in the case of mutants, powers of anyone she touches. The victim of the touch is often left in a coma and Rogue in a state of confusion over who she is (the persona of the person absorbed battle's for control). Brief touches allow Rogue to gain powers, memories and talents with no real ill effect to herself, and the person touched is briefly unconscious. In two cases unsual things occured during the transfer, in the case of Rogue's first ever absorption, the boy called she touched, Cody was left in a coma for the rest of his life. The second resulted in Rogue's secondary powers. Secondary Powers: During Rogue's time in Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Rogue attacked Ms. Marvel. For some reason (perhaps due to Ms. Marvel's struggles or physiology)the absorption of powers became permanent. As a result Rogue now has the powers of flight, super-strength and invulnerability. Speed: Rogue can fly at super-sonic speed. Strength: Rogue is invulnerable to the extent that she can fly in space unharmed and be buried under tonnes without injury. She can lift 100 times more than a normal human. Other Info: Rogue has, despite many efforts, been unable to control her absorption powers and therefore cannot come into contact with anyone. She wears body covering clothes and gloves to prevent accidental touching. However, during the time Ms. Marvel's persona took over her she was able to touch other's suggesting something in Rogue's mental state is the problem. Current Info: During the last year (Marvel time) Rogue's powers had become uncontrollable, often causing her to display powers of people she had absorbed in the past such as Cyclops and Wolverine. This eventually stopped. At present Rogue has lost her powers, although probably only temporarily, and is currently not on any X-Team. One assumes she is spending some of her time with Gambit. |
