The Deadly Nightshade
Blowing Rogue, Remy and Bishop of their feet with a blast of pure energy a tall, regal woman in a green armoured jumpsuit (complete with helmet) demands to speak to Remy Le Beau alone.

Bishop fires a bolt right back at her (his mutant ability is one that allows him to store up any sort of mutant energy and then fire it right back), which she easily dodges. She then informs them that if 'they (Rogue and Bishop) leave now I'll let you live!'

Bishop is ready to toss another bolt at her when Gambit stops him and reveals the shocking truth about the woman.

It is Bella Donna Boudreaux, his wife.

The X-Men have a hard time believing it, especially Jubilee, who's reaction is priceless.

Remy always conscious of his keeping his past a secret reveals some of it now, the Guild Wars, the arranged marriage, the duel and death of Julien and his exile.

Bella Donna reveals that something is stealing all the Guild's children and bringing the Guilds to the brink of Clan War once more, she demands Remy help her stop it.

Remy always with a sense of duty agrees to help, as do most of the other X-Men, and they all head to New Orleans.

The Guilds it is revealed are been attacked by the Brood, a race of alien creatures that require a host to grow in in order to breed, that is why the Guild children have been taken. The secret underground tunnels of the Guild are keeping the children from been saved by the fact that Ghost Rider is there, his mind been controlled by the Brood.

Whilst battling the Brood, theX-Men areall spilt up in a cave-in, and Belle and Remy end up alone together. Belle is still furious that Remy 'left her', stating that he should have taken her with him, that she would have gone if he'd asked her. Remy of course is left trying to explain why he couldn't. The two eventually call a truce of sorts.

The X-Men join back up, and Psylocke attempts to attack the Brood through Ghost Riders mind, Belle the full extent of her powers, and where she got them from are unknown, joins into help.
Together the two get rid of the Brood, and Ghost Rider is returned to normal, but the cost is terrible.

Belle has burnt out her powers, and is dying, as she does she tries to ask Remy if, had he the choice, would he have stayed with her. Though she doesn't get the question out, Remy knows what it is and answers 'Always Chere.'

After that Bella Donna dies.
