... The ancient tower of Sorcery fell over 500 years ago but the traditions still live on. Students attend the Royal Collage of Sorcery from all parts of Anuire and beyond willing to learn and ready to sacrifice all for the pursuit of the magical arts. This is the lure of magic..... |
For centuries on end the College has been the center point of Anuires magic and this is not likely to change as the premiere wizards of the land are trained at the College and remain loyal to their peers and masters. The College offers all manner of resources and contacts for wizards and magicians of the land.
Training
First and foremost the College is a school for the training of wizards the description of this training can be found in the Ledgers of the Book of Mage Craft (tm) and will enable an apprentice wizard to reach a level of wizardry that enables the casting of 2nd level spells ( 3rd Level ). Through out this training a mage will also gain knowledge in Ancient History, Ancient Languages, Astrology, Etiquette, Herbalist, Modern Languages, Religion and Spell Craft. ( This is equivalent to 2 skill points in each mentioned these points are classes as class skills and are in addition to normal progression of skill points ) A cost of on average a gold bar per year is standard, however this is subject to adjustment due to circumstances. The average training rate is one year per level until the 3rd year is reached.

The following titles are appropriate for addressing wizards the terms
Magus and Mage along with the female pronouns can be used in the place

A noble or religious title if present is usually used in preference
to a wizard title. Titles are not a fool proof means of identification
and there is no penalty for using any title not achived.

The College offers not only training but also all manner of assistance to wizards. The following are but a few of the services.
Membership is 500 gp per year or part there of and is non refundable.
Masters
A master under strict college terminology is one of the ten wizards who sits on the college council. This council is the ruling board of the college and holds a large sway over the practice of magic in Anuire.
Elegibility:
To become a master a wizard must satisfy the
following criteria:
A vacant spot on the council is also necessary
The rule of the council is simple
A two thirds majority of voters will pass
any rule or ruling ( a quarm of 6 voters is necessary to vote unless emergency
conditions are instated )
The benifits of a Master are as follows
Ley Lines of the College
Each master of the College has access to one of
the councils 10 Ley lines ( it is possible to have access to more than
one only if the council does not have its full complement )
The ley lines are all of level 5 for the
purposes of casting realm spells but provide no regency. The source of
the lines is unknown but recent thought on the matter leads to the theory
that the lines stem from the land of Anuire in general and not a specific
source.
