Things I like to do.
I am a beekeeper.  This is a photo of my most productive hive ever.  I refrained from keeping bees for several years due to drought conditions.  In March 2001 I started a new hive.  Unfortuantely wax moths killed it off in September of 2002.
I really enjoy watching bellydancing.  The fact that these women even have a nerve connection to those muscles much less control them is amazing to me.  My good freind, Jenna is performing at the Cactus Cafe on the University of Texas campus.  She is the one that is mostly centered in the photos here.
I'm a member of the Austin Belly Dance Association and have served on the board of directors as scrapbook editor and vice-president..  Check out their site at http://abda.org   I also have written some articles in the newsletter.  To read those articles go to my Writings webpage.   I also take videos of several bellydance shows.  The dancers appreciate having affordable videos to analyise their dance and I like having a collection of bellydance videos.
It's not photographed here but I also have volunteered for Black Shirt Security, now called Peace Keepers, for Eeyore's Birthday Party from 1996 to 2003.  The party originated 1963 when a University of Texas English professor gave a party so the Winnie the Pooh character Eeyore could finally celebrate his birthday.  Click on the donkey to see more about the party now.
This is one view of our deer hunting campsite near Winthorst, Texas.  One of the primary places I hone my tracking skills.  For more photos of my deer hunts just click here to go the related page.
This is one of the best bucks I've ever brought down.  I used my reliable Ruger M77 25-06 rifle to make a 70 yard neck shot.  It has been my primary meat gun and has fed me and my friends and family many pounds of deer meat.  I give eternal thanks to the deer that the Great Spirit sent to my sights.  The skull of this deer is among my valued possessions.  To see it just go to my artworks page.
Here I'm squeezing off a few rounds ridding the world of unwanted tin cans.  I'm in camouflage because we were hunting, not on maneuvers.  The SKS you see here was not the rifle I was hunting with although with a smaller magazine it would be quite useable for hunting. I've since sold it through a gun dealer.
