| People's
Sculpture is an environmental sculpture and design studio based in Taipei,
Taiwan and Seattle, USA. The work of People's Sculpture seeks to create
dialogues among people, culture, environment, and social and political
events and to reflect the spirits of place and time. Began in early 1990's,
the work of People's Sculpture ranges from city-scale installations, stage
and architectural design to public sculptures and citizen workshops. The
work of People's Sculpture is not limited to a particular medium. It takes
inspirations from the everyday life of people and nature, particularly
the vernacular forms of a given time and place. Through design and construction
of spaces and artifacts, it seeks to raise the awareness and sensitivity
of people toward the environments, culture and society.
