The door skins and the side sills are the only body panels shared with the roadster, though both are covered with the same resin-molded composite plastic.

The coupe is also much slipperier, with a coefficient of drag down from 0.55 on the roadster to only 0.35 which helped boost top speed by over 10 miles per hour. The newfound power (450 hp, up from 400) is aided with a stiffer frame and special aluminum suspension components.
