Chaos errupted in the states on the Playstation 2's day of launch. It seems that too many pre-order forms were given out and not enough Playstation 2s to go around. The popularity of the product was greatly underestimated by the police who were alarmed to find that fist fights broke out between fellow PSX fans in order to get thier hands on this fabulous piece of kit. In other, less violent areas it was found that those who got in the queue early were selling off their new console to other, less fortunate people, for more than twice the actual value. The release of the console in this country (UK) should not follow suit, however, as Sony has had more time to organise themselves and they do not have to deal with so many buyers. Don't panic about your beloved PS2 there should be plenty to go around ( if you pre-ordered it that is).
