The
Pleasant Ridge Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), is a volunteer
organization of parents and teachers committed to promoting the
welfare of our children and youth in the home, school, and community.
Our goals are to bring into closer relation the home and the school,
so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the
education of children and youth.
Our PTA helps to provide assemblies, field trips, needed supplies
for the school and the classrooms, and various special programs
for the children. These are made possible through various
fundraisers including the Fall Fundraiser, Winter Carnival, and
our monthly Market Day sales. In addition we have ongoing fundraising
programs such as Campbell Labels, GM Box Tops, and grocery certificate
sales.
The PTA offers many opportunities for you to become involved. In
addition to becoming a member of the PTA, you may volunteer to participate
in or chair any of our many committees. Attending meetings is an
excellent way for you to keep in touch with up-to-date information
regarding your child's education.
PTA...what's
it all about?
The Pleasant Ridge PTA is proud to be an active part of National
PTA--the oldest and largest volunteer association in the United
States working exclusively on behalf of children and youth.
We can offer so much to our children and youth who we represent.
If we work together we can meet all the objectives of the PTA.
Learn about the organization's cultural arts programs, pending legislation,
and parent involvement in education by clicking on the National
PTA web site.
