Admin. 464-3 36912 Auburn and Algona Pacific often use eachothers ID numbers in a patch. So you may hear Auburn, Algona, And Pacific all together on either of the Primary ID#s. |
| Note: Some of the older Uniden and Radio Shack Trunktrackers work better in type 1 mode. The reason is because these scanners can't ignore the status bits that the system adds to patched groups. Therefore if the dispatcher patches 2 systems on the same ID# the type 2 ID#s show up 3 numbers higher than what I have listed. For Example, Usualy Auburn and Algona are patched together. When this happens the trunking system will add 3 to the type 2 ID# that is patched, this is the status bit. If its 36944 that is patched and being used the system changes it to 36947. The patch will show up on either one of the groups being patched. Now the newer Trunktrackers can Ignore the status bits so the ID# shows up normal in type 2 mode. However on the older Trunktrackers the status bits are not ignored so the ID# comes up different 3 numbers higher (depending on the type of patch). If you set the older scanners to work in Type 1 mode with all size blocks set to one you will see type 1 ID#s but they will always be the normal Id#s. If you choose to use type 2 with an older scanner, there is a ID# conversion chart, Just click here. A very well deserved Thank you!! goes to Vince in Federal Way for helping me understand how the system works. |
