| First a disclaimer, I did not read this book because I wanted to learn how to pick up young women. At my age (22) the only women I consider 'young women' are in junior high. I do not wish to pick up on these women. Honest. I read this book because I was pissed! I was so angry with the author of this book. How selfish can one man be! I'm sure most of you are wondering where I am going here. I was angry with R. Don Steel (Nice pen name, dork) because he wrote a guide that helps men over 35 date women MY age. Do you understand what this means? Lets look at this from a different angle. Let us say that 2 million Americans were born into your generation (A generation being 2 years before your birth and two years after your birth). 1 million of these would be women, and 1 million would be men. Now lets break this down like Amihotornot would: Two hundred thousand would be 10's, two hundred thousand would be 9's, two hundred thousand would be 8's, and so on. So now we have our generation broken down into their corresponding number ratings. It would make sense to think that this generation would pair up based on the number rankings assigned to it by nature. Sexy girls would pair up with sexy guys, and ugly guys would pair up with ugly girls. There's no competition, right? Wrong! And whose fault is it that there is competition? It's those freaking old men! What do old men have to offer young women that young men don't? According to R. Don Steel, Security: old men have jobs and houses and are much richer than any of those younger men. Experience: old men have probably been married at least once and then divorced, leaving a train of fatherless children in their wake. Desperation: old men are desperate, lonely, pathetic losers and are therefore willing to take higher risks such as asking strippers to marry them. That, my friends is why I was so upset when I saw this book, and I am still pissed after reading it. R. Don Steel expects younger women to go after older men because they desire the security of a relationship with a divorced man!?! Nice irony there R. Don Steel. I hate you. |
