Figuring It Out Chapter 3: One Whole Week Coffee Jake? Trevor asked the next morning. Do we have any bigger coffee cups? Jacob asked still suffering from a huge hangover. Sorry man, all we have are regular size, Trevor replied. Okay Ill take two then, Jacob said. Trevor handed him his coffee. Ashley got out five different cereal boxes. Which do you want today? he asked us. I want Lucky Charms, Trevor said giggling. There was some bed bouncing going on down the hall from me. Oh not again, Jenna moaned. Hey, why deny it? I laughed. Trev hasnt gotten any in awhile and probably wont get any for a long time. Oh you did not just say that! Trevor got defensive. Trev, chill boy, I was just joking, I replied. Dude, so was I, Trevor laughed. He can be such a drama queen, er, king sometimes. Ash, why dont you give me the Cinnamon Toast Crunch? Jenna asked avoiding the topic all together. Sure Jen, Ashley said handing her the box and a bowl. So guys, any idea what were doing today? Jacob asked slowly recovering from his hangover. Mike and Mike want to have a meeting with us. Something about what were doing after our tour which ended yesterday, I said. Great, theyre going to make us work our butts off in the studio or in rehearsals, Trevor groaned. Its not like you dont need it, Jenna giggled. Trev, face it. You need some work. As a human being? Trevor asked raising his eyebrow. Duh, Jenna said punching him playfully on the shoulder. We laughed. We hadnt had any real drama in over six months. It felt good to be able to laugh and joke around with each other. We ate our cereal as we joked some more. When the last of our bowls was in the sink, the doorbell rang. Mike and Mike, we all groaned together. The Mikes let themselves in. We all gathered around on the couches ready for a long boring talk. So, as you already know the tour is over and that means only one thing, Mike Morin said. Rehearsals? Trevor asked. Recording? Ashley asked. Nope, Mike Cronin said dramatically. A week off. At first no one understood what he meant. Not only were those words unheard of but also his accent was starting to get a little, how do you say, weird. Are you joking? Jenna asked. A whole week off? For real? Ashley sounded like a valley girl. Serious, Morin stated simply. Have fun. Yes! Trevor got up on the couch and started dancing around. Time off! Time off! Trevor, calm down, Jacob said from his spot on the couch. Youre not making my headache any better. Sorry bro, forgot about that, Trevor jumped off the couch. No prob, Jacob dismissed him. Well, your week off starts tomorrow, or I guess today, because youll all be flying wherever today, Cronin told us. Well see you guys in a week. With that, the Mikes left leaving us to decide where we wanted to go. I thought of going home. That was always the best place for me to go. Apparently Jenna was thinking the same thing. Danny? she asked. Can I go home with you? Of course, Jen, I replied smiling at her. How did you know that was where I was going? Because I know how much you love them, Jenna said. A whole week off with them would be your ideal vacation. She was right. I missed my family so much while we were on tour. It wasnt all bad though because Jenna was my new family now. Well lets call and see if they can meet us at the airport, I said. I want to call! Jenna screeched racing to the phone. She dialed and looked excited when someone answered. |
