Figuring It Out Chapter 11: Hookers

Since everything was back to normal between Jenna and me, we could go back to worrying about other things. Such as Jacob and that Jessica girl that no one knew anything about.

Jake? Trevor said after a dance rehearsal.

Yeah Trev, Jacob said not looking up from the song he was writing.

Whats up with that Jessica chick? Trevor asked with a perfectly straight face.

What do you mean? Jacob replied still concentrating on his music. (Cause ya know, its all about the music and girls are a distraction.)

Are you and her together? I asked.

What Dan means to say is, have you BEEN together? Trevor said getting a little more personal than anybody had wanted.

Aww Trev! Dont make me visualize Jacob in bed with Jessica! Jenna protested.

Trevor if you want some that badly just call her friend, Jacob said not really hearing what he was saying.

Is her friend a whore or something? Ashley asked Jacob.

The room fell silent. Yeah, you could say that, Jacob replied.

WHAT? Trevor spat out. You want me to hook up with a 4th street prostitute?

Oh, Jacob said finally looking at us. Oh!

Is Jessica one too? Trevor asked.

Jacob didnt answer but looked back at his work.

Too much information! Jenna broke in. New conversation!

Were recording for the new album tomorrow, I told her.

For serious? Jenna looked excited. I cant wait.

Me either, Ashley said. Its gonna be cool to put our words to music.

I cant wait to record that song you wrote, Danny, Jenna said. American Game.

That is going to be one kick ass song, Trevor worked his way into a non- sex oriented conversation.

By kick ass song do you mean that people will love it or wanna kick our asses when theyre done listening to it? Jenna asked Trevor.

Trevor scoffed. Youre joking, right?

Dont mock it. You never know what Clive, or as Jake likes to call him, C- Diddy, is going to think, Jenna replied.

Hey that was a one time lapse of judgment thing! Jacob protested.

But you still called him C-Diddy to his face, Ashley said.

Bite me, Jacob said sulking off into his room. (Angst, gotta love it.)

Guys, this is boring, Jenna sighed looking out the window. What should we do?

Well, Ashley looked like he had an idea. It quickly passed. We could

Yeah! Trevor said instantly agreeing with him. When he realized that Ashley hadnt said anything to agree with, he calmed down.

Lets go get some dinner, I suggested.

Yeah, Im starving, Jenna replied getting up. Shall we invite Jakey?

I suppose, Ashley said standing. Ill go get him.

Jacob decided to come with us and we were ready within minutes. Jenna decided that she needed to drive. We went to the Red Lobster that was just down the street. The night was free of apprehension and stress. The laughter rang throughout the night. Thats why Jenna didnt see the car.
