�Better Than Best� Chapter 21: Wanting Everything

�Way to spoil the good mood,� Jacob said laughing.

We all went to the front door. I looked out the window next to the door. I turned and faced the guys.

�Shhh!� I said. �It�s Mike and Mike!�

�Okay, no one says anything about the� you know,� Dan said.

�About the what?� Ashley asked with a huge smile on his face.

�Exactly,� I smiled as I opened the door.

�Hey Mikes!� Jacob said cheerfully.

�Hi guys. What's going on?� Cronin asked.

�What? Nothing,� Ashley said. �Why would you think something was going on?�

�Well for one, you all never answer the door together especially when it�s us,� Morin said as we walked into the living room. �And second, you are acting way weird.�

Dan laughed uncomfortably. �You watch too many movies.�

�Okay, whatever,� Cronin said.

We sat and talked about returning to our tour. We were going to tour the U.S. for three months visiting about 45 cities. We were scheduled to start the tour in two weeks.

�So, what do you think?� Morin asked.

�It�s cool with me, but when are we going to fit in the bachelor party?� Trevor asked oblivious to the fact that we were glaring at him.

�Whose bachelor party, Trevor?� Morin asked.

�Dan�s,� Trevor said matter of factly.

�Trevor!� Jacob elbowed him.

�What? Oh. Dan, I�m so�� Cronin didn�t let Trevor finish.

�Dan and Jenna aren�t getting married are they?� Cronin said aloud.

�Mike? Are you mad?� I replied to his question.

�Jenna, do you know what this will do to the group?� Cronin asked.

�No and to tell you the truth, I don�t care!� I was getting angry.

�You�ve worked too hard to just give up the dreams of your band mates,� Morin said. �You�re being selfish, Jenna.�

�I�m sorry but do you know what it would do to me if Dan and I couldn�t be together?� I shot back.

�I have to be selfish too,� Dan said. �Jen and I are meant to be together.�

�Dan, you are not understanding,� Morin said. �You can�t do this to your band mates.�

�Do what?� I asked.

�Yeah Mike, do what?� Ashley asked.

�We support them and their decision. We want them to be happy,� Jacob said.

�You guys don�t want your careers to go to waste do you?� Cronin asked.

�The fans support our music, not our relationships,� Trevor said. �Why don�t you understand Mike?�

�Trevor, it�s not that I don�t understand. I just want what's best for the band,� Morin said.

�Well then understand that Dan and I are getting married and that�s all there is to it,� I said.

�Jenna, I�m trying to understand. If you weren�t in the band it would be different,� Cronin told me.

�What does the band have to do with anything?� Dan asked.

�People watch your every move. Things get reported about you. You have labels stuck on your name. Things you do get twisted around so that they make no sense and people attain certain feelings toward you,� Morin told this to us like he had done dozens of times before.

�Well then they can watch us all be a little happier and try a little harder because Dan and Jenna are happy together,� Jacob defended us.

�Okay. I can see where you�re coming from,� Morin replied. �Just please don�t do anything stupid.�

�That�s never gonna happen,� Trevor said under his breath.

I giggled and jumped up and hugged Mike and Mike. �So you guys are okay with this?�

They exchanged a look. �Congratulations, Jenna and Dan. And congratulations to the band,� Cronin said.

�Ahhh!� I shrieked.

Dan picked me up in his arms. �Jenna and I are getting married! We�re getting married!� he sang as we danced around the house.

Jacob patted Trevor on the back. �We owe this to you, buddy.�

�Sorry I blurted like that,� Trevor told us.

�It doesn�t matter Trev, they were gonna find out sooner or later. I�m getting MARRIED!� I screamed.

Mike and Mike let themselves out while we celebrated. I know I�ve said this before, but finally, everything was perfect. I had everything that I wanted and nobody was left out. This was really the best time of my life!
