There were 3 Russian noble families of Gerings, one among them was the Old Saxon. Fridrich Gering, which had arrived in Russia within 1741-1761 (reign of the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna), had been serving in the artillery, became a major.
His son, Pyotr Fyodorovich Gering, was a General of the Fleet and a Senator of the Admiralty (1802-1810). That family is included in the 2nd volume of the 'Rodoslovnaya Kniga' of the Region of St. Petersburg. Two more families of Gering are of later lineage.

Unfortunately, Ksenia Gering nee Behr remains a kind of enigma in our family records. Ksenia was born in the family of Nikolay N. and Maria A. Behr (nee Lancere) in c. 1870s.
In early XX - th century she has gotten married to one of the Gerings in Russia. It's understood the Behrs and the Gerings
had been residing in St. Petersburg, then yet Russian metropolitan city.
