(These are actual questions that people frequently ask me in regards to myself as well as this site. The comments are selected from individual chats.)
1. Do you have a boyfriend? If so, how long have you been with him? What sort of person is he?
- Yes I do have a boyfriend. He is 22 years old, from Syria, and we've been together for roughly a year now and I am very happy with being his girlfriend. I am willing to do anything to keep him happy and to help him succeed in his studies and his future. He is the most important thing in my life right now.
2. Wow. Sounds like you're a good girlfriend to him.
- I try to be but of course, I will make mistakes.
3. Were you raised this way?
- No. I just think the way I am, I like to give a lot. I don't feel comfortable with receiving though which sort of is a problem at times.
4. What sort of music do you listen to if any at all?
- My music tastes vary in phases. Currently it's mostly Arabic dance/club music. In my car is Japanese Visual rock. In my stereo is a bit of Arabic and some AC/DC but classic 70's rock in general. =) I listen to just about everything really. I like Opera and Classical Instrumentals as well. I WILL NOT LISTEN TO RAP OR COUNTRY! Those are my limitatons.
5. Gotcha. What about other interests? Hobbies?
- Interests are mostly academic or fitness related. Same with hobbies. I like to read (a lot) and work out at the gym whenever I can. I also love to study with my boyfriend. It's relaxing. Driving around aimlessly is relaxing at times too given that the weather is right. Other list interests would be cooking, writing, showering, laundry (yes laundry), and grocery shopping. But it's mostly studying, reading, and the gym.
6. In regards to your reading, which authors do you enjoy? What type of books do you normally read?
- Well, to the type of books I read, it's diverse. From Philosophy to cookbooks to Political interviews to Garfield. *shrug* I read whatever sparks my intersts. But most of the time it's something serious. If it's not serious, then it's either poetry or comic books. Currently I'm reading a lot of Edward W. Said and a lot of history books regarding the Middle East and the Crusades. I'm hoping to get into a bit of Chomsky in the near future. Also, the author Ibm Kathir was recommended to me by an online acquaintance so I'm going to look into him as well.
7. You didn't mention movies in your list of hobbies. Do you have something against the media?
- *laughs* Don't get me started on that. haha. I prefer to watch movies at home on my VCR but the theatre is nice once a while. I'm not big on screen-oriented entertainment unless it's my computer screen.
8. Some easier questions. What's your favourite colour? Do you have a favourite movie or film?
- Colours... I'd say black, gray, and blue. Favourite films would have to "Fight Club" and "The Quest for the Holy Grail."
9. Do you really think anybody would have the patience to read this long-ass FAQ?
- haha. Honestly, no. But a personal site, especially the Bio section is purely self-indulgent so it doesn't really matter to me either way.
10. Why don't you have any more photographs of yourself or your friends on this site?
- I don't feel that my site's purpose is to showcase my face and body to the world. I use this site to express whatever it is that I have to say so, this site is not based on pictures, it's based on words. As for my friends, I have links to their sites and on their sites you will find (or won't find) pictures of them. Their photographs are not mine to post here. It's a respect issue.
11. When did your interest in politics develop?
- I think that hatred goes hand in hand with interest but not vice versa. I have always hated politics and government. I also highly disliked ignorance. Since I did not wish to portray it, I figured, "I can't hate until I know WHAT it is that I'm hating and WHY." So, I started doing some political reading and research. Now, after a few years, my hatred for the subject has grown so deep that it's drawn me in. It happens sometimes ya know. But at any rate, as of late I've been reading more and more because my awareness has grown and as that grows, so does my curiosity. And it just snowballed from there. I hope that answered the question.
12. Fair enough. What is your philosophy on politics in general?
- It's a dirty, evil business and nobody should get involved if they can avoid it.
13. If that's the case, why are you involved?
- My hatred refuses to let go of the subject. And when one has a belief so strong that they will stand by it, there is a good chance that even a death threat will not weaken their standings.
14. And what are your beliefs that you hold so dear?
- You can't tell by the site? haha.
15. Good point. So what do you hope to accomplish with this site?
- Absolutely nothing. I'm just here to voice my thoughts. I'm not trying to say I'm right and everyone else is wrong. I'm not trying to change people's views. I'm not trying to recruit anyone. I'm not trying to do anything but just have a place to put down my thoughts and opinions and commentaries as they come to me. Whether my words are pertaining to the news, the government, what I had for breakfast, the weather, etc. should be of no concern to anybody. I'm just here taking up bandwidth like any other normal recluse.

- I try.
17. And finally, what is your philosophy on life? How do you view the value of an individual's time on this planet?
- Gee, that's a tough one. Kinda complicated wouldn't you say? I guess my philosophy of life in general would be... do not regret anything as you lay on your death bed. If you do regret something, it is either because you did not have time or the chance to do it, or, your own lazy ass just never got around to doing it. But all in all, it's the same cliche "carpe diem" drivel that you hear from every make-shift philosopher. Be happy. That's all. And don't create drama. It just tears away at what happiness you COULD have. Oh yeah. And Microsoft Word grammer check sucks. Don't trust it.
