About Us

Students For Life was founded in 1974 by the late Kathleen Poole, to reach out to students at USC and remind them about the sanctity of all life, especially the most vulnerable.

We are an interdenominational Pro-Life student group, whose purpose is to stand up for the right to life of those who cannot necessarily stand up for their own rights, such as the unborn and the terminally ill. We try to be a witness to those we meet about the sacredness and importance of human life in all its stages. It is important to us that we as a group of students show others we care, and are an example to our peers.

An annual activity of ours is to attend the SC Stand Up For Life March and Rally, which takes place on the State House grounds here in Columbia sometime in mid to late January (around the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the notorious Supreme Court case in 1973 that legalized abortion). For more information, check out our RALLY page.

To find out about other activities, email us or check our events page .

You're welcome to join us, and we'd be happy to have you! If you'd like to join, please send us your name, email address and a local phone number where we can reach you. If you have any questions, please contact us.
