Makeshift is a melodic punk band coming at you straight out of the northwest suburbs of Chicago (Park Ridge). The group was started by Brian Dorrans and Mark Segawa back in March of 2004 after being in bands having little to no success. They basically had planned on recording a short CD with just the two of them so they could quickly finish by summer. After a month or two of recording and mixing, thier CD is now complete. Some of thier influences include Alkaline Trio, Blink 182, Green Day, New Found Glory, Less Than Jake just to name a few. Thier music is fun and catchy and with the completion of thier CD, they now seek to play local venues. With the limitation of just having two of them, they began to look for additional members. The latest addition to the group is bass player Paul Mazzerella who sports the left handed bass guitars (wierd). Only missing a lead guitar player, the trio for now will begin to play the local scene.
