TIPS
Here are some small things you can do at home to save power. They may not seem like much, but encourage your friends to do the same and a lot of energy and money will be saved in the process!
1. Turn off the lights when you leave a room. 2. Switch off video games when you're done playing. 3. Keep windows and doors closed if an air conditioner is running. 4. Close the curtains just before it gets dark to trap in heat and save heating costs. 5. Talk to parents about replacing lights with energy efficient bulbs, or even investing in solar powered lighting. |

WHAT YOU CAN DO
"I have absolutely no doubt that children are leaders where environmental matters are concerned. They have the power to educate their parents as decision-makers and change what's happening at an individual level." - Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Executive Director, UNEP. No matter who you are or what your age is, we are all citizens of this world. As these modern times give youth a stronger voice, we must not waste any opportunity we get to make a difference! Here is what you can do:
1. Be informed!
2. Discuss ideas with others
3. Get involved.
