Liz is a 14-year-old girl who, unfortunately, doesn’t know Jade or any other members of AFI. She is a huge fan of the band, and she considers Jade Puget a guitar god. Liz plays three instruments: piano, guitar, and violin. She plays violin the best, then piano, and she’s slowly learning guitar. Unfortunately she’s not nearly as proficient as The Jade.
Liz lives in Maryland, and she has never been fortunate enough to see AFI live. She met Kiwi, the co-webmistress, on greatestjournal.com. They consider themselves long lost twins. Or married. Or something. Anyway, Liz and Kiwi are very good friends who love AFI and Jade Puget and decided to make a website. Whee.
Liz has been a fan of AFI for about a year. She first heard of them when Days of the Phoenix came out, but for reasons she has yet to figure out, didn’t buy the Art of Drowning CD. Probably because she was a stupid ten-year-old. Her first CD was Sing the Sorrow, which she fell in love with and has never looked back. She now owns all the AFI CD’s and loves every one.
Liz is in the ninth grade right now. She is a straight A student who hopes to go on to medical school after high school to, duh, become a doctor. You know, then she can help people who have vocal chord problems like Davey. Or something.
Some of Liz’s interests include playing music, listening to music, making journal icons, drawing, writing poetry, and other such creative artsy stuff. Yes, she is, in fact, a nerd. She likes to read, and some of her favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, and The Catcher in the Rye.
Liz’s favorite bands other than AFI (which is obviously the best) are Thursday, Coheed and Cambria, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, The Cure, Finch, The Used, Evanescence, Something Corporate, and The Offspring. There are probably more, but she can’t remember them all at this point in time.
In closing, Liz is just another nerdy AFI fangirl. She hopes you enjoy the site. :-)
