northern lights: there are only two decent words to properly desribe this book .. magical excellence - out of the thousands of books i'v read throughout my life this book and the other two in the 'his dark materials' trilogy have to be three of the most exciting and mentally stimulating books available. the story follows eleven year old, lyra belacqua and her d�mon pantalaimon, they journey out of her home at jordan college to find her missing friend roger - their ensuring quest leads them to the bleak splendour of the north, where armoured bears rule the ice and witch- queens fly through the frozen skies � and where a team of

scientists are conducting experiments too horrible to be spoken about. lyra overcomes these strange terrors, only to find something yet more perilous waiting for her- something with consequences which may even reach beyond the northern lights�

christina.stripped: the first word that came to my mind while i was looking at the front cover of this cd was yuck - but after actually listning to christina's second attempt at an album i was quite surprised .. you put the cd in your player and the first thing you hear is electric guitars and heavy bass - followed by news reports of her new look ect .. but the musical highlights of the cd would have to be 'fighter' which combs a very rocker type sound which isnt exactly

dance but it sure is one hell of a sound, and 'dirrty' while i know most people dont like this song and thinks it dosnt belong on the cd i happen to enjoy it and think that its a very club number .. other songs that havent yet been released on the air that i think are good, are the two songs 'make over' and 'cruz' while make over has a more sugababes type sound cruz is ballad/pop .. i do recomend this cd to everyone as it has alot to offer and is widely ranged.

Grease 2: most of you would have see the first grease movie and if you havnt then i'd like to ask where you have been in the last twenty something years - and for those select few of you that have actually seen the second grease movie then im sure you'll agree that saying it was slighty dissapointing would be a mass understatement!!! personally i think the movie may have done better on its own, without the 'grease' lable - as its story was absolutly nothing to do or like the original grease. however there are three somewhat decent musical numbers in this film starting with 'cool rider' sung by stephanie (michelle phiffer) -

'repoduction' sung by the whole sex-ed class and finally 'calandar girl' sung by stephanie and her posse, with such lovely fun costumes that would brighten any senior citizens day .. so i say get it out only once tho, at least to watch it and form your own opinion - its not the baddest of films but it dosnt live up to the first grease.
