Truth's Inside of Me
May, 2000

I stare at my reflection in
The water's glassy face.
I realize these eyes have seen
Much, in the way of grace.
The more I stare, the more I see
The deeper lies the story.
I'm wrapt within the awe of this
Intoxicating glory.
I've seen my destiny in life
And wondered why should I
Be faced with such a challenge
When the world does not comply.
I give my love undyingly,
Unknowing of restraint.
But somehow it gets no attention,
Hindered by the taint.
Of what I've see, it saddens me
That so few souls can see
The truth that lies beneath the lies,
The truth inside of me.

Love is a strange thing, class.  It often makes us wonder for what it is we are fighting and if the ends will justify the means.  To tell you the truth, the answer is still a mystery to me.  I will however keep on fighting what appears to be a losing battle, for if one day I acheive my goal, then the struggle was worth every miunte.  I just want you all to know that she has me wrapt.  I am merely a puppet.
