| So Close May, 2000 Lying here and staring at The shadows on the wall, I find myself engulfed in thought And smiel at it all. I see the same thing playing there Time and time again. The images bound back and forth Like petals on the wind. Despite the many things I see, I concentrate on one. Undivided, my atention Notices the fun. You emerge, and in the breeze, Your hair begins to dance. I watch and smile, wishing I had Courage for the chance. Reaching out, I stretch my hands In hopes I'll touch your heart. But as I near the image, it Slowly breaks apart. ~ the Professor |

| Love, for the most part, is something which seems far more elusive than it really is. At times, it seems to take us on an unforgetable journey. Yet, at other times, there seems to be no end to our frustrations with it. In the following poem, So Close, you will see how I have brought that feeling to verse. Thank you for reading. Please, enjoy. |
