My First Valentine
February, 2003

I take a breath and hold it in.
Anticipation heightens.
All the blood begins to rush
And then, my head, it lightens.
The butterflies begin and they
Tickle me inside.
This roller coaster's taking me.
I think I like this ride.
Your eyes flirt back and forth with the
Page that you are holding.
I clench my teeth responding to
The tension that's unfolding.
I watch your face and every inch
Is covered in emotion.
Growing deep inside of me
Is permanent devotion.
Your eyes lift up to where mine rest.
In them, lurks divine.
Embracingly, we meet at last,
Me and my valentine..

The Professor awaits your comments here.
Well, folks, as of recent days things have been looking up for the good ol' Professor here.  I've begun to experience all the things I thought had forgotten about me.  She has been able to bring out everything I've been holding in.  And you know what?  It feels pretty damn good again.  I do hope you enjoy this one.  I wrote it for her on Valentine's Day.  It brought a smile to her face, and I hope it does the same for all of you.  Enjoy!!.
