Power Stick or Bundle
Afix interesting tactile material that expresses some kind of energy to a cylinder, stick or long rectangular prism.  Or connect or bind tactile materials into a mass.  Neither of these objects should be made to set on a table but, rather,  to be held in hands.  Think of a scepter (define), ceremonial mace, a wizards wand.  Or a native american "medicine" bundle, worry beads, or a fetish- laden keychain.
