| Gandalf: "No Frodo, Sauron's spirit endured. Sauron's life force was bound to the keys, and the keys survived. Sauron has returned. His orcs have mutliplied. His fortress of Barad-Dur is rebuilt in Motor. He needs only these keys to cover all the lands in a second tint. He is seeking it, seeking it, all his thought is bent on it. He has way too much spare time on his hands, figuratively speaking. The keys yearn to return to the "hand" of it's master. They are one, the keys and the Dark Lord. He must never find it. I love torturing really evil guys like that." |

| Frodo: " Allright, we keep it hidden. We put it away, we never speak of it again. I know just the place to- " Gandalf: "Say it and I'll hit you with my staff." Frodo: "...Nobody knows it's here, do they? Do they Gandalf?" Gandalf: "There was one other who knew that Bilbo had the keys. I looked everywhere for the creature Gollum, but the enemy found him first." After many important plot-elements and alot of discussing... Gandalf: "Dont tempt me! I dare not take this key, not even to keep them safe! Understand, I would use the key out of a desire to go good, but through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine." Frodo: "But it cannot stay in the shire!" Gandalf: "Wow, you're quick today, little one. Get out of the Shire. Make for the village of Bree. I will wait for you at the Inn of the Prancing Pony. It's a gay bar I used to visit, but I'm sure you'll fit right in. I must see the head of my order. He is both powerful and wise and has limbs. Trust me, he will know what to do. He has the entire collection of 'How to - for Dummies' books." Samwise Gamgee: "-Hic- Me too!" Gandalf: "I must remember to close the windows in future." |
