Some facts to share
By heart , I am still a true Calcuttian.I was born and brought up in the southern part of the city, in the locality called New Alipore. I am better known as Reeju here in my Para. The thing that I most miss about my para is the "Thek Culture" over there. Miss you all my Thek partners.
I did my schooling from Nava Nalanda High School in Kolkata and then did my 10+2 from Patha Bhavan , Kolkata.I received the National Scholarship Award from Government of West Bengal, India for being in the list of meritorious candidates (Rank 81) in Class X Board Examination. Became eligible to be funded by the Government of West Bengal for pursuing my studies in 10+2 level.I was also awarded with the Nalanda Scholarship for commendable performance in the Madhyamik Examination .
During my school days I developed a knack for acting. Was an active member of the "Tepantar" group and participated in a lot of plays on stage, AIR and Television. I also took part in two TV serials in Bengali and used to be an anchor in Television for quite a long time. Apart from this, I used to be the member of " Suruchi Sangha", our club in New Alipore. I represented my club in a lot of activities, starting from athletics,Yogashana, Football tournaments, Cricket Matches and others.
Apart from this , I did my "Banishree" certification in Recitation and Vocal Music from Bani-Chakra, Kolkata.I still feel proud to be associated with some great personalities like Nirmalendu Goutam and Prabir Brahmachari during my endeavours in recitation and acting.I am also a die-hard fan of Bengali rock and Band Music . At my leisure I love exploring through the strings of my Guitar.
