6. This is a bridge over the river Lee in Cork. St. FinBarre's Cathedral is in the background. Cork is the second largest city in Ireland, and has always been one of the most rebellious. The city is built on a small island. The whole place smells like hops, due to the Murphy's brewery on one end of the island, and the Beamish brewery on the other end!
 

 

 7. These are the Cliffs of Moher, in County Clare. They rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, and are very majestic looking. Of course, there is also no railing, but I assure you the view is just as inspiring 30 feet back! (As you can see in the picture, there are many people who don't believe this.)

 

 8. This is a reconstruction of an ancient Celtic village at Craggaunowen, just a few miles north of Limerick. The Celts built their villages on man-made islands for defensive purposes. They either had a bridge and tower, like this one, or they had a stepping-stone walkway - six inches underwater. That way, only people who lived in that village would know where the path was!
