| 10. This Is Market Square in Mitchelstown, in County Cork. Mitchelstown was not one of the group destinations, so one weekend I went by myself. My ancestors left from Kilbeheny, a very small village about three miles outside of Mitchelstown. I've always wanted to visit. It's q very prosperous town located in the valley between the Galty and Knockmealdown mountains. I don't know the significance of the statue in the square. |
