Tactics for the Tyranids:

This bug is a walking tank. Some standard mutation is increasing the strength to 10, the toughness to 7 and the BS to 3. And do not forget the save, adding Carapace armor will help the creature survivability against rocket launchers and other AP 3 weapons. Hive Fleet Leviathan Infestation started out with two �Fexs with venom cannons, however it was later discovered that the Strangler in much more effective against troops. A strength 8 ordnance blast can be very IGish.

Tactics against the Tyranids:

Shoot them with all the heavy weapons you can muster. Can be easily compared to a Wraith lord or a Dreadnought for weakness and strengths. If the �Fex is fitted for range attacks position you troop out of LOS. This will give you time to deal with the swarms most likely running down your throats. If for some reason you see a �Fex (Rare Breed) mutated for assault, concentrat on the swarm at hand, �Fex are slow moving compared to the rest of the hive.
