Life and Death of Stars: Recycling in the Universe

In an amazing scientific adventure story, much of the  nature of stars and galaxies in our Universe has been discovered in the 20th century. In this presentation we explore what is known about the evolution of stars and are introduced to some astounding objects that exist in our Universe. The audience is introduced to the some of the scientific methods and techniques used to uncover and understand these fascinating phenomenon, delighting the scientist that lives within each of us!

Learning Strands: Earth and Space Sciences, Physical properties of Matter.
Standards addressed: Earth in the Solar System, Various Forms of Energy: microwaves, radiowaves, infrared and Xrays, Properties of Matter: Density ,Mass and Volume.

Presentations will be tailored to the grade level of intended audience and are typically 30-45 minutes long.
