Chapter Eight
     Toby and CJ are sitting side-by-side on the couch in her office, her hand in both of his. "I told him that I was in love with you. That was my big confession. I was so drunk, I told him about you and didn't mention NASA or any kind of shuttle. He poured me into a cab when I tried to talk about work, and I forgot!" Toby laughs and looks at her seriously. "You should seriously stop drinking. You forgot what happened and thought you were going to prison!" She laughs. "Yeah, but it got me you, so...oh my God! Toby, you married me because you thought... and now I'm not. We should get our marriage annulled!" Toby turns and looks at her in horror. "Annulled? Why would we do that?"
      Because you married me under false pretenses. I don't want you to be stuck in a marriage you didn't want in the first place. We should..." Toby silences his wife by putting his finger to her lips. "CJ, I married you because I love you. I couldn't be any happier than I am at this moment." He smiles and cups her face in his hands. "I love you, Claudia Jean. And don't you forget it for a moment." SHe smiles. "I love you, too, Toby." He kisses her there in her office, right next door to the Oval Office, and neither one of them mind. She pulls away, a smiles on her face. "Toby, we have to tell everyone what happened!" He looks at her with a mischievous grin on his face. "Let 'em find out of their own." He pulls her close to kiss her again and neither one of them notice the door to the Oval Office quietly closing behind them.
