| Chapter 8 The ladies finally wiggled their way out of the USA House. They had bumped into a few athletes and were excited to meet them, but they thought the athletes were more excited to them then they were to meet the athletes. As soon as they stepped outside, a cold gust of wind blew, blowing belongings across the sidewalk. A woman, holding a clipboard, had her papers blown all over the place. They raced over to her to help her out. "Here you go ma'am," Crystal said handing her the papers that were on the ground as the other ladies did the samething. "Thank you very much. It's been a hectic day," the woman said finally looking up at them as she grabbed the papers. "You guys are the Dance USA dancers," the woman said with a smile on her face. "I wish the guys were here to see you all." "Did you say guys?" Lindsey said becoming more interested in the conversation. "Oh I guess I should introduce myself," the woman said shaking their hands. "I'm Susan Ellis the coach of the Short Track Speedskating Team." "Hi, it's nice to meet you," Crystal said smiling. "I'm Crystal and this is Lindsey, Kylee, and Karen." "So what about these guys?" Lindsey said egarly. "Oh the men's short track team are in love with you guys," Coach Ellis said. "They couldn't stop talking about you guys. "Hey, could you guys do me a favor and try to catch up with them so the can meet you al?" "Sure, no problem," Lindsey said getting more exicted. "Which way did they go?" "They went to the Dinner Hall to get something to eat a few seconds ago," Coach Ellis said trying to tame her hair from the wild wind. "How about we go the opposite way and 'accidently' bump into them," Crystal suggested. "That's a great idea," Coach Ellis said. "They would kill me if they found out I told you that they like you." "Well I guess we better be going," Kylee said as they started on their way down the sidewalk. "Okay, see you ladies later," Coach Ellis said as she disappeared into the crowd. The ladies started to walk, but then it evolved into a fast paced walked which eventually turned into a jog. IT wasn't easy to jog in these boots, but they didn't care. They walked between two buildings and peered around the corner. "That must be them," Karen said looking at the four guys off in the distance. "Okay, remember act casual. We're suppose to accidently bump into them." As soon as the guys weren't looking, the ladies came out of their hiding spot and made it look like they were walking on that sidewalk all along. "I think they recognize us," Kylee said without moving her mouth. "Quick pretend I said something funny and start laughing. The ladies immediately started laughing as they made their way down the saidewalk. They were so busy laughing that they didn't realize how close they were to they guys until it was too late. They literally bumped into them. "Oh, I'm sorry," Lindsey said laughing harder now. "We didn't see you coming." "That's okay," Shani said with a sly smile. "Hey you guys are the men's short track speedskating team," Karen said pretending like she just recognized them. "Yep, and you ladies are the Dance USA dancers," Rusty said smiling like it was going out of style. "Guilty," Kylee said smiling back. "Well, we were planning on going to the Dinner Hall for some breakfast," Apolo said. "You ladies want to join us?" "Sure," Lindsey said quickly. "We'd love to." "Well, I guess it's a quadruple date," Shani said as they started laughing. "After you ladies." Chapter 9 Never Had a Dream Come True Homepage Home |
