| Chapter 19 As soon as the ladies arrived at the venue where the bobsled was giong to take place later in the week, Coach Lisa started yelling at them, telling them how irresponsiable they were and how worried sick everyone was. She kept going on and on and the ladies kept apologizing over and over again. Then came the question that they didn't know how to answer. "So where were you all?" Coach Lisa asked still fuming. They silently stood there as all the other dancers looked at them, waiting for their answer. The ladies thought about that question, they didn't now how to answer. They knew if they told her about the guys she would be fuming, but if they lied she would find out later. So the question was: Have Coach find out now or find out later? "Well, I'm waiting," Coach Lisa said with her hands on her hips. "Well, it must have been so important that you missed out on ski jumping and half of bobsled." "Well, we kind of over slept," Karen began as Coach Lisa was about to burst like a firecracker. "What?! When I went to your rooms, you weren't there,' Coach Lisa said confused and angry, she knew something wasn't right. "You see, we went up to Kylee's cabin to let off some steam because we had been under so much pressure to preform for the Opening Ceremonies," Lindsey began. "So we went up to her cabin and relaxed and since there were no alarm clocks, we slept in." "We honestly didn't mean too," Kylee said helping out Lindsey. "It will never happen again, we promise." "Fine, but don't think you're going to walk away without a punishment," Coach Lisa said. "Starting tomorrow morning you will report to the Olympic Oval bright and early and do laps for about an hour. You will do this every morning untill closing ceremonies." "But coach you know I can't skate," Kylee said. "Well, then I guess you're going to get a lot of practice in during the Olympics, who knows you might get into the next Olympics," Coach Lisa said giving her an angry look. "Anyway...we're almost done with bobsledding so go meet us at the ski slopes to cheer on the women in moguls." "Yes, ma'am," Karen said as they walked away from Coach Lisa and wakled toward the ski slopes. "Did you hear that?" Crystal said knowing they were out of reach of Coach Lisa's hearing. "We get to hang out with guys more." "Wrong," Kylee said. "You know she's going to have people watching us to make sure we complete the laps and I doubt the guys are going to wake up a five in the morning to skate." "Maybe we can make the most of it," Karen said. "Hey, Lindsey you've been pretty quiet, what's wrong?" "Nothing," Lindsey said staring down at the ground as they could hear the crowd up ahead. "I know what she's thinking about, Rusty," Karen said smiling. "No, I'm not," Lindsey said. "Oh come on, we saw you guys last night, you guys were flirting like crazy," Kylee said smiling. "No we weren't," Lindsey said defending herself. "You guys were like spaghetti and meatballs, nothing could seperate you two," Crystal said. "Look, just drop it alright," Lindsey said walking off as the ladies looked confused. "What's wrong with her?" Crystal asked as she saw Lindsey disappearing into the crowd up ahead of them. "I don't know, but I hope Rusty didn't do anything," Kylee said as they continued walking toward the ski slopes. When the event started, they had squeezed their way up to the front to see everything. The had a perfect view of the slopes and of the athletes. One by one the females came down the slopes, each one trying to out do the one that went before her. When an US athlete came down, the crowd cheered like crazy, but no one was as loud as the dancers. Their cheers could be heard at the top of the slopes, but in the end none of the US atheltes received a medal. After the event, they went back to the US House to quickly change into their practice attire and then went over to the Olympic Oval to practice for their performance later that night. When they arrived, the pairs figure skaters had just finished up their practice and now it was time for the short track team to take over the oval. Great, Linsey thought, Rusty was the last person she wanted to see today. "Hey coach, is there anyway we could practice at some other venue?" "No, all the other venues are taken, it was lucky we even got this one to practice in, other wise we would have to practice outside," Coach Lisa said looking at Lindsey, she knew something was wrong. Eventhough she had yelled at them earlier for being late, Coach Lisa loved these girls like they were her own daughters. "Is something wrong?" "No, I just thought that because the short track team was practicing here, it might be a little crowded," Lindsey said, trying to not to sound like anything was bothering her, although there was something wrong. "Don't worry about that," Coach Lisa said. "Now go get ready for practice." "Okay," Lindsey said as she waked over to where the ladies were getting ready just as she looked up and saw the short track team walking into the oval.
