| Chapter 16 Crystal and Karen ran toward the bedrooms and chose the flower room because it was their favorite. They didn't completely shut the door as they flipped on the light and plopped down excitedly on the king size bed. "Do you think the other's got the hint to leave Kylee and Apolo alone?" Crystal asked resting her chin on her hands. "I hope so cause they make such a cute couple and she really deserves a nice guy like Apolo, especially with what she's been through," Karen taking out her ponytail. "You kind of got to feel sorry for her," Crystal said yawning. "I couldn't imagine what she had been going through all this time. It must have been hard for her." "Yeah. I just wish she would've come to us sooner," Karen said as they heard Rusty and Lindsey walking past their door to go into another bedroom. "Speaking of a cute couple?" "Lindsey is such a flirt," Crystal said in a jealous way. "I wish I was like that." "Yeah and have guys thinking you're a slut. No thanks," Karen said as Shani and Dan walked past. "Hey Dan! Shani!" "What?" Dan said as they opened the door. "Get in here," Crystal said. "I'm glad you guys the hint to leave Kylee and Apolo alone." "Well it was kind of obvious how you guys quickly left," Dan said as they sat down on the bed next to the ladies. "So how are they doing out there?" Crystal asked, almost begging. "Well, when we left they were pretty far apart," Shani said. "She was on one side of the deck and he was on the other." "I do hope she opens up to him," Karen said. "I hope she doesn't let this one go." "What's up with you guys and hooking Kylee up?" Shani asked curiously. Crystal and Karen exchanged concerned glances. They didn't know whether they should tell Shani and Dan about what happened to Kylee. "Look, if you're not comfortable telling us, that's fine," Dan said noticing their exchange of glances. "We'll tell you, but you have to promise not to tell Apolo or tell Kylee we told you," Karen warned them. "Okay, we promise, corss our hearts and hope to die," Shani said getting serious. "When Kylee was going out with her ex, she was raped by him," Crystal said. "She never told anyone this until about a couple of days ago." "We had no idea," Dan said. "Is that why she's uneasy when we touch her?" "Yeah, she is so defensive against guys. She's had this fence up for almost a year that have kept away so many great guys. We hope Apolo can bring down those fences," Crystal said. "We hope so, too," Shani said. "Apolo has been having a tough couple months, too. He almost didn't make the team." "Yeah, we heard about that," Karen said yawning. "You guys look tired, we'll leave you alone," Dan said as he and Shani got up. "We'll see you in the morning." "Good night," Shani said giving Crystal a quick kiss on the cheek. "And don't let the bed bugs bite," Dan said kissing Karen on the cheek. They left the room and quietly shut the door behind them and went into the two remaining rooms.
